Kallie's Krusade 2014!

On October 4th the nonprofit Kallie's Krusade organization is holding an all day fundraising event at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena that will begin at 9am with a Wellness Expo on Lafayette St. focused on detoxifying our lives.

 

There will be a motorcycle run starting at 10am and a 5k run/walk beginning at 11am. U.N.Y.T.S. will be conducting a blood drive and “Be The Match” is doing a bone marrow donor drive in the arena lobby until 2pm as well.

 

There will be lemonade stand to support Alex's Lemonade and a bake sale to support Cookies for Kids' Cancer, both of which directly support Pediatric Cancer Research.

 

Starting at 5pm the Sabres Alumni will be taking on Local Law Enforcement and several local coaches in a charity hockey game. During the hockey game there will be raffles, Chinese auctions and a 30 minute autograph session with the Sabres Alumni. For those that purchase VIP tickets the night will continue following the game with a catered after party with players from both teams.  

 

All proceeds will go directly to Kallie's Krusade, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to assisting families dealing with the heartache of childhood illnesses. Kallie's Krusade will bring financial relief and community support to families stricken with childhood cancer and childhood disease. Please join us as Kallie's Krusade continues to "Fight Like a Girl" in our efforts of raising not only money, but knowledge and awareness to the cause.

Breast Cancer Benefit for Kim Mann

The friends and family of Kim Mann will host a Breast Cancer Benefit on Saturday, September 20th at the Fluvanna Fire Hall.  the event will run from Noon until 6pm with a Chicken BBQ and free hot dogs for children 6 and under.  Kim was diagnosed with stage 2 Breast Caner and this benefit will help cover her on-going medical expenses that are not covered by medical insurance.  Kim has been employed by St. Luke's Church in Jamestown as the Administrator secretary for 30 years and her entire family prays for her and continues to supports her in any manner they can.  Be join us for music, fabulous raffle items and Chinese auction and a basket goods auction.   10% of all donations will also go towards the American Cancer Society. Dwight Saulsgiver Fundraiser

THERE WILL BE A FUNDRAISER THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH FOR DWIGHT SAULSGIVER, WHO IS IN NEED OF A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT.  DWIGHT IS AN ARMY VETERAN.  THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE NORTH WARREN FIRE HALL.  $10.00 PER PERSON INCLUDES DINNER AND DESERT.  ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO HELP WITH COSTS FOR HIS TRANSPLANT.

Step Up For Autism!!

Step Up for Autism, helping raise funds and awareness for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Saturday, September 27th.  Step Up for Autism is a 1.5 mile fun walk in Celoron, NY. Salvation Army Music Program Fundaiser Effort

The Salvation Army is looking for some financial help.  Your business or your service organization might be able to contribute.  The Salvation Army oversees a small, free weekly music program with instrumental instruction, band, chorus and dance.  Over 95% of the children and youth who attend their current music programs come from underprivileged homes.  The Salvation Army currently lacks the resources to grow this program.  If you can help with any donation 100% will go to develop this program.

Veteran's Memorial Park Relocation Fundraiser

The Veteran’s Memorial Park being built off Logan Avenue and West Third Street in Jamestown is very close to completion, however they need to close the gap of $20,000.  The committee hopes to have this project completed by Veteran’s Day and are asking for the community’s help by making a Tax deductible donation on behalf of all veteran’s.  Please send checks to Veteran’s Memorial Commission Relocation Fund c/o Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, 418 Spring Street, Jamestown.  Proudly suppoted by Media One Group
