Kelly Mersch Benefit

Kelly...a husband, dad, son, brother, and friend was recently diagnosed with MYELODYPLASTIC SYNDROME (MDS), which is a cancer in which the bone marrow does not make enough healthy blood cells and there are
abnormal cells in the blood and/or marrow. e only treatment is a bone marrow transplant. Currently Kelly is receiving chemo treatments to try to slow down the progression of the disease until a donor can be found and the transplant can take place. Please join us in encouraging and supporting Kelly and his family through this very dicult time in their lives. A spaghetti benet will take place on July 29th at the Stow Fire District building on Stow Rd in Ashville, NY. This benefit will include a basket raffle and a large ticket drawing that will include a Large Screen TV, laptop, and a muzzle loader.  If you cannot attend the benefit your prayers would be greatly appreciated  and donations can be sent to : Kelly Mersch Fund at any Community Bank  in the area. Team Lexi Benefit

The family of Alexis will hold a benefit for the 7 year old, who is battling cancer. Proceeds from the benefit will help with medical expenses. It is going to be held on Sunday, July 27,2014 at the Hartfield Firehall from 2pm til 6pm.

Golf Benefit for Matt Brink

August 16th, 2014 is the Matt Brink Golf Outing (Matt Brink Memorial)

$60 per person (4 Person Team) Includes 18 Holes with cart, T-Shirt, and Lunch

9 am Shotgun Start (Please be there by 8:30 for registration)

2nd Annual Memorial Run, in Memory of Mel Perks

The PAD in Kennedy will host the 2nd Annual Memorial Run on Saturday, July 26th in memory of Vietnam Vet Mel Perks.  The ride is a free-will with 100% of the proceeds going to Hospice Chautauqua County.  Registration is from 10-11am, kick stands up at 11:30am.  There will be a Chicken BBQ, and other food options as well as 50/50 raffles and a live auction at 2pm.  For more information call 267-7367.

Alexis Ackley Fundraiser

A benefit dinner for seven year-old Alexis Ackley of Jamestown will take place on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the House That Jack Built in Greenhurst, N.Y. Alexis has been diagnosed with cancer and on June 2, she had her kidney removed and will now be undergoing chemotherapy until at least December. Proceeds from the event will go to help her family cover costs associated with treatment, which include travel expenses and medical bills. The benefit will include a Chicken Bar-B-Cue dinner, Chinese Auction, 50/50 drawings and entertainment. The cost for the dinner is $8.50 and RSVPs are appreciated prior to the day of the benefit. Salvation Army Music Program Fundaiser Effort

The Salvation Army is looking for some financial help.  Your business or your service organization might be able to contribute.  The Salvation Army oversees a small, free weekly music program with instrumental instruction, band, chorus and dance.  Over 95% of the children and youth who attend their current music programs come from underprivileged homes.  The Salvation Army currently lacks the resources to grow this program.  If you can help with any donation 100% will go to develop this program.

Veteran's Memorial Park Relocation Fundraiser

The Veteran’s Memorial Park being built off Logan Avenue and West Third Street in Jamestown is very close to completion, however they need to close the gap of $20,000.  The committee hopes to have this project completed by Veteran’s Day and are asking for the community’s help by making a Tax deductible donation on behalf of all veteran’s.  Please send checks to Veteran’s Memorial Commission Relocation Fund c/o Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, 418 Spring Street, Jamestown.  Proudly suppoted by Media One Group
